Thread Lift

A Thread Lift uses absorbable sutures that are placed strategically in the face to offer a tighter, more youthful and lifted look. This minimally invasive procedure works by stimulating the production of collagen. The thread lift helps to reposition tissue to give a nonsurgical result of a  refreshed and lifted look.

Learn more about Thread Lift

What can the Thread Lift treat?

  • Sagging of the upper and lower cheeks

  • Jowling

  • Loosening of the neck skin

The Thread Lift offers immediate results without the downtime or scarring that occurs with a surgical procedure. If you desire natural-looking results for firmer skin, then a thread lift may be the right procedure for you.

The Thread Lift is a non surgical treatment option that can help slow down these effects of time. Those who have experienced The Thread Lift have enjoyed results that last up to a year. At your consultation Dr. Umbreen Chaudhary will discuss your concerns and will develop a treatment plan that will give you the best nonsurgical result.

What results can you expect?

When can I see results?

Thread lifts are a minimally invasive and non-surgical cosmetic procedure that typically takes about an hour to complete, and results can be noticeable right away. Patients typically experience little pain and minimal scarring, with results improving gradually as swelling, redness, and bruising subside over time.

How long will my results last?

How safe is it?

Threads are made from a complex sugar polydioxanone (PDO). PDO is a synthetic, biodegradable polymer that’s been used in medical applications for over 30 years. It’s a type of suture material commonly used for closing wounds and surgical incisions because it’s absorbable by the body over time.

Am I a good candidate for PDO threads?

How long is the downtime?

After your PDO lift, you may immediately resume your daily activities. More intense activities such as exercise can be resumed after a week, but please consult with your provider beforehand.

How much does it cost?

The cost of a PDO thread lift depends on the patient’s needs and anatomy. Prices vary according to the areas that need to be treated, and will be discussed at your consultation.

Are there any side effects?

Common side effects may include soreness, minor bruising, swelling and mild discomfort. If you experience any other complications or an extended period of side effects, please consult with your provider. To avoid the risk of complications, we recommend that you verify your provider has received professional PDO thread training credentials.

Can I get other treatments in combination with PDO threads?

After your PDO thread lift, the threads are absorbed by the body in 6-8 months, but the benefits can last for up to a year because they stimulate collagen production and neovascularization in the skin. The degree of sagging, skin thickness, and facial structure of each patient will affect the outcome of the treatment.

Please schedule a consultation first to determine if you are an ideal candidate.

Yes! Thread lifts are compatible with many other procedures, so you can take advantage of all the best things each treatment has to offer for synergistic effects. Target wrinkles with neuromodulators, restore volume with dermal fillers, address skin texture with laser treatments, and take care of sagging skin with Thread Lifts.

Can I get a Thread Lifts lift more than once?

While some may achieve their desired results with a single treatment, it may be worth considering additional PDO thread lifts. Since the threads are completely absorbable, you can undergo more thread lifts to continue enjoying the benefits of MINT™ over an extended period.

What’s the Difference Between Face Lifts and PDO Thread Lifts?

For patients with significantly sagging skin and tissue, a facelift may be an ideal long-term solution, provided they can afford the investment and recovery time. A facelift can produce a dramatic transformation that can last up to a decade. However, PDO threads can be an alternative for those seeking to lift and tighten their skin through a minimally invasive procedure that avoids the need for extensive surgery and at a lower cost than a facelift. The results of PDO threads are immediate and natural-looking, with minimal downtime and trauma.
